If the beast was Nero/Rome that would make sense. Whether the beast was Nero/Rome sounds like a topic for its own thread
It's remarkable what a difference it makes using a brand new sanding belt when the old one got a bit dulled from sanding so much. I might actually finish sanding my floor this year, at this rate
Today's circumstances reveal in stark detail how global society has reached a point where, from a view of the techno/economic infrastructure, a futuristic application of the beast-mark seems so feasable. And that does not begin to take into consideration the aimless wandering of society at large.
Agreed the Google/apple “I’ve had the corona virus” contact tracing scheme is the sort of thing that technocrats and bureaucrats and governocrats are fawning all over after all we must be saved from ourselves
Hence my "tinfoil hat" thread elsewhere It may be that the mark of the beast referenced in Revelation is a historical concept (I'm not personally convinced, but it's not as if I have a monopoly on the truth). Looking at the way the entire social order has been turned on its head in barely a month it's easy to see not only how a mark might be introduced but just how many people would be clamoring for the government to introduce such an intrusive thing.
All under the auspices and influence of a False Prophet. This is where I hold many of the so-called evangelicals in serious doubt. It will be, in essence, a religious movement for many.
Given the disparity between promised and actual shipping dates, maybe Bill Gates is the false prophet The vaccine could be the mark.... Excuse me while I add some more tinfoil to my hat....
The wife may be transferred back up here as early as tomorrow. Of course, transferred to the hospital, not home, so not much changes other than she's only about 800 metres away instead of 700 km. There has been enough improvement that the surgeon is OK with her going, and I think they want to clear her out of there anyways.
800 metres beats 700km any day. It makes visiting a whole lot easier. Are you going to be allowed to visit her?
An entire day waiting in pre-op, 5 missed attempts at IV installation and 5hrs in surgery (compound ankle fractures) my niece gets sent home last night - 35 mile trip. Doing better today. But she's pretty tough.
