Feeling human again today, which is nice because it means I can get on with some of the stuff I'd wanted to get done yesterday.
From what I saw during a couple of drive-by type visits I have to wonder whether they would increase the theological soundness of the discussion over there.
I really need to get back into that. Need to shift a bit of the surplus padding I've gained around the middle.
This year I haven't even done a whole lot of hiking, we've had so much rain and it really isn't a lot of fun hiking in relentless rain. One time I went out for a walk in spite of the forecast calling for light showers, and it turned out the "light shower" lasted for over two hours. Needless to say I was out for the whole two hours, slowly losing the will to live. In the end I called my wife to come out and get me - I'd found a place where I could take at least some shelter and really didn't relish the thought of another 80-90 minutes to walk back to the car with no respite from the rain. Because it's so very hilly around here it's not even as if a waterproof helps much. It might stop the rain getting on my skin but since they are notoriously bad for letting sweat out they end up even more unpleasant.
Just finished de-Christmasimg the house... All back into the closet until next year... Time to take a deep breath and prepare for 2019...
