Ok. Another misunderstanding. Still not biscuits. Those are cookies. Of course a little chocolate sauce might go good with those.
It is sometimes interesting trying to get things done in the US, when the first thing I get to do is play another game of "guess what it's called over here". When I'm trying to source a tool based on little more than a description of what it looks like and what it's used for, sometimes I get some bizarre suggestions.
Fun With Water today. I got some more sealant from the hardware store and went down to the basement to put it away. And there I heard water dripping. It turned out one of my drain valves had decided to, well, drain. Except it wasn't supposed to drain and certainly wasn't supposed to drain onto the table underneath it. So there followed a rush of catching water, drying off things that weren't supposed to be wet, and a trip to the hardware store to get what I needed to fix it. It looked like an easy job but in trying to hold a junction to replace the tap it looks like a tiny crack opened up in the brazing, so now I have another leak. This one is very slow, so it can wait. And then I found that in the heavy rain I've got another drip in the ceiling of my study. This is an area I know is a problem but it's a hassle to have water dripping in again, even if it raining hard outside. This one will have to wait until spring to get repaired properly, and in the meantime I get to leave drip trays to catch the errant water drops. At least it's drops and not a river coming in.
