Dysphoria is in need of clear explaination within the churches. Church policies on this issue are in need of review, based on a scriptural and clearly technical foundation. For the sake of the churches, all efforts to avoid confusion by establishing point by point teaching and common sense protocals concerning dyspohoric individuals are increasingly essential in order to separate from current, apostate trends which have effectively railroaded the testimony of huge segments of the protestant community.
More progress on the house. I finally managed to figure out how to get the insulation blower home. It took my wife and I taking both cars to collect the thing, which was just as well because it didn't all fit in one car. I took the blower in the back of my car and she took the barrel of hoses and cables, and the bags of insulation. This afternoon we got insulation blown from the upstairs room into the wall cavity behind the downstairs room and then got the surplus cleared up, fiberglass stuffed into the cavities underneath the windows, and the baseboards put back into place and screwed into position. Now the hoses are coiled up in the closet so the cat can't get into the part of the house that's demolished, and tomorrow I can feed the hose into the attic and blow insulation into the wall cavity behind the upstairs room. With the benefit of hindsight I think the insulation blower was overkill for what I needed, but it's good to know the downstairs room is as well insulated as it can be without pulling the walls down.. On Sunday evening we get to dismantle it and load it back into the cars to return it on Monday. Carrying the base up the stairs was an interesting experience - I had hoped to not have to do that but the hose wasn't long enough to reach from downstairs right up into the attic, so I didn't have a lot of choice. Once this is done we can move some furniture back into the upstairs room and get things back more or less how they were - we needed to move a load of stuff out so I could get at the baseboards all the way round the room. Then I can press on with the next room and get some insulation panels cut for it.
I finished blowing insulation and got everything dismantled and ready to be returned. Now sitting in my recliner with a cold beer.
Our boys U13 team won their tournament which puts them into the Provincial tournament in a couple weeks. The won based on goal differential - only by 1 extra goal for. Their last game did end on a bit of a sour note as the opposing team coaches ended up red-carded for ongoing complaints about the reffing. The ref called the game early since there was no one to coach the team after they were thrown out. The reffing in no way contributed to our boys team lead in the game as they were clearly in command of the game. Even if the coach had a point, and if the ref missed a call here or there, it was pretty silly and was a terrible example to their whole team. Of course, my wife ends up dragged into it (she's president of our soccer society) even though it really had nothing to do with our club.
Happy Father's Day to all. And I was called a mother today, but I don't think it had the same connotation...
Don't worry, we have geniuses at the helm https://theweeflea.com/2022/06/14/w...es-to-talking-about-gender-ct/#comment-355521. I'll let you guess which comment I left.
Thusly Spake Za.. Athanasius https://theologicalfragments.com/. It's time to get to what I've been putting off. Powered by salmiakki.
A powerful intro to a discussion well worth the effort. Will be lurking, initially, at the very least.
Will have to read later. Waiting with anticipation to see if SCOTUS drops the Dodd decision today aka overturns Roe v. Wade. Three opinions released so far today, and they generally come out in 10 minute increments.
Nothing on Dobbs yet, but the Court just ruled NY City's bizarre "concealed carry permit" law unconsitutuional, a big win for the 2nd amendment. I'm going to go read the case now. And looks like that is the last opinion released today, so we still wait on Dodd. This was the other "big" case to be determined this term.
A bit of cleanup work. I started out brushing the surplus insulation left by the blower into the spaces, only to find the spaces swallowed it up much more easily than I expected. I guess a combination of insulation settling more than I expected and the blower blowing downwards rather than sideways (pesky laws of physics, again....) meant there was more space than I expected that wasn't filled. I ended up using several gallons of surplus insulation recovered from elsewhere to completely fill the spaces. Then I got a load of stuff moved back against the walls, where I wanted it to be. Things are looking a little less cluttered up there now. I've still got a couple of places I need to run the shop vac with the HEPA filter because I've got some fine dust up there, and then I can move on to the next job.
From what I could see of the NY case it gave me the impression that a celebrity could say they might have a stalker and therefore had a need for a gun while a single mother who actually had a stalker in the form of her former partner could easily not qualify because she's just one of the common people. The way people are whining about it you'd be forgiven for thinking gangsters and criminals will be standing in line to get their concealed carry permits.
More health issues (of course) Blood pressure spikes, stress initiated, are a current problem. A spike actually damaged the upper heart chamber several years ago. Having successfully reversed Type II diabetes symptoms with a full keto lifestyle, this particular problem seems easier to manage now. Working on it - backing out of stressful situations unless they are necessary until I get it further under control. ADDED: politics will soon get dicy. They don't need me! As you will certainly concur
Thousands of demonstrators literally wailing their eyes out over the right to abort a child. What's wrong with this picture? I mean other than the incalculable numbers of accidental pregnancies(?).
