I've done way more than my share of camping. These days, I'm old and soft. "Roughing it" now means that room service cuts off at midnight.
I'm not yet as cynical as that guy. Anyway, the kids had a good time with our friends' kids. We brought the kayaks so they could paddle around the lake. Our friends' oldest caught a couple small rainbows, but too small to take.
I've been in 49 of the 50 states and all across Canada. Largely because of camping. Would go again if I could get the money. Need to get a better tent than I have if I'm going to do much though.
Possibly 6 more months of professional driving Can do, with much grace. Careful balance between ambition and necessity - going into battle, daily. Twill be worth the patient wait. Montana beckons
Came very close to my 2nd ever migraine last night. Scary stuff. Will back off and try to id the trigger - possibly reading, typing and glasses. Reading be an addiction, whenever possible i get the book. Seems to help.
Thanks. One trigger for her is wheat. But we think something else triggers it. I don't keep bread in the house much these days. When we do, myself and the kids know how to keep things clean and clean after ourselves. Yet with less wheat than ever in the house (because I've cut back a lot recently myself) she's had more of them with less wheat around. Go figure. I look forward to her having a glorified body and leaving this behind.
My late step-mom suffered for years until testing revealed a reaction to red meat, of all things. My first episode lasted 7 days and i think was caused by nerve damage from a shoulder injury. If ever i succumb again, i'm signing up for testing at a headache/pain facility. Feel terrible for anyone suffering migraines.
Sorry to hear that my friend. My siblings also suffer from migraines. My brother has to take a Xanax, and when he wakes up, it's gone. That's the only thing that helps him. Not sure what my sister does. But they happen so often she's given them a nickname. Herbie.
Got my new Bible yesterday. Checking out the notes and what not. It's definitely not one I'll be carrying around a lot. But will certainly use for my studies. The Reformation Study Bible. And with a 50% off deal, I just couldn't resist. Put my birthday money to good use. Thanks for the heads up Joe.
Oh joy! New, restrictive diet for peptic ulcer. Will be down to one coffee per morning, and even that is frowned upon, so will need to wean off of the bean Need to do do what is right or suffer yuugely
Sorry to hear that Steven. I can't imagine having to put up with caffeine withdrawals. I tried it once. Didn't make it past 24 hours.
I got my load of rubble and dead drywall to the landfill today. The official total weight was 0.51 tons. Thankfully a friend let me use his pickup, otherwise that would have been multiple journeys. So now my rubble is gone, my laths are burned, and I've got lots of space ready to do some more wrecking. Sooner or later I'm going to have to do some rebuilding too...
