Looks like hurricane Iselle will hit us as a Category 1 hurricane. Damn! Praying it dies down to a tropical storm at most when it makes land fall tomorrow afternoon.
Must make it a point to play Golf one day. I'm pretty sure I can find a golf course here in South Florida. ;.;.
Thanks my friend! I think there's about 10hrs before landfall. It's expected to hit just south of Hilo as a category 1. Right now it's raining off and on, heavy at times. J get off at 10am. Gonna fill gas then head home. Maybe tape up the front picture window. Hoping for the best.
I learned from Gilligan and the Professor that you should always look out for flying coconuts during a hurricane. Besides, I though hurricanes were in the Atlantic, and Typhoons were in the Pacific. How did a hurricane get so far off course? ;.;.
Mmmmm.... Coconut cream pie.... Almost worth getting stranded on a DESSERTED island after a three hour tour when the weather started getting rough and the tiny ship was tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless crew.... Well, you know.
I'll take that pie. Like Señor Seeking said (and I think I already said, but laziness prevents me from going back and checking), be safe, brother!
Looking at the radar loops, looks like the eye (or what's currently remaining of it) will hit the southern most point of the Big Island with the worst area of thunder storms coming right over Hilo. Right now, we just started getting our first dose of heavy, wind driven rain. The rain is almost coming in side ways. At the moment, it appears that landfall will occur around 7-8 pm tonight. (It's 11:56 am HST currently)
Oh yeah, on a side note, Hawaii island (the Big Island) had a 4.3 tremor which happened around 6:43 am HST. Of course, my joke to my co-workers was "I guess Madam Pele is preparing to fight the hurricanes". 8)
So far, it's been calmer than I expected. The eye looks to have all but disappeared. Just waiting for the heavy winds and high winds............or at least the main portion of it to hit, which should be within the next hour or so. Praying it's not much worse than what's been going on so far.
