As long as I don't get more financially raped than I already am by new taxes or penalties for not having something the government suddenly says I have to have, or as long as I don't start losing my Constitutional rights I don't care who wins. Of course, I suspect it's much more likely that Clinton will do those things I worry about than it is that Trump will...

Getting addicted to sleeping in the Jeep at Ocean Beach.

Where I used to walk over 5 miles a day, I still manage
a regular mile, which surprises me. 8)

Now I wake around dawn and walk after a coffee.

The sand provides a strenuous workout.

    Love it :D

Really feeling like a northerner now: studded winter tires.

Been profoundly moved, as of late, by the sheer numbers of individuals, basically alone and vulnerable, struggling to eak out a living and a semblance of dignity in the midst of crushing, hurried and seemingly uncaring population.

Really hate this driving gig, which is maddening, but have come to appreciate these opportunities for personal contact and the potential for genuine spiritual fruit.

Aside from the generally hard, blatant and often arrogant Godless-ness so popular in these leading metro centers, there persists the common human element and thus, a ripe harvest.

Sort of a new and unique open door.

Been awhile, but I have rediscovered a love for people that seems to have gotten buried over the past few years.

Hoping the Lord will turn it into something truly valuable 8)

For your sake, I hope that happens. If not, it can start to feel like it's pointless...

Had a Friday evening gig for what's called "Black and White Nite" here, and from what we heard, we (my current/start up band, Average Joe's) had one of the bigger crowds in all downtown Hilo. Did a Saturday afternoon gig for a grand re-opening for a company, then had a 3 hour show at a bar/restaurant in Kona last night.

Gotta say we made a statement for ourselves. :D

Great way to start my vacation! I'm beat tired. Gonna pass out and sleep at night like a normal person now.

Lying in bed pondering how bad this country will be with another Democratic President and Democrat controlled Congress. My bank account is crying in fear, for it knows it will be financially sodomized, as Democrats only know how to tax, tax, tax. And, for fun and giggles, tax some more...

Drove a young woman who is from Cuba down the highway today. She is a soprano/soloist, and sang to me Puccinni "La Boheme" on the way.

    Amazing 8)

Went to the Remembrance Day service today. Other than the weekly shop, the rest of the day was a slow at-home day with the wife and kids.

    Now to more important things...................

It's an addiction. Got them set up on the board in an order that sounds good to my ear. Still may tweak it a bit. More on the way at some point at time.

Folks of all types LOVE to build fires on Ocean Beach, some even engaging in corny, innocuous little rituals -a common sight is a circle of happy faces lit up in the dark by the blaze.

Park police LOVE to show up with red and blue lights flashing, demanding that the fires be doused before citations are issued.

Takes a matter of minutes for new blazes to erupt once deputy dog is off the scene 8)

So, certain sections of Northern California ocean beach are protected habitats for the endangered Snowy Plover, a tiny sand dwelling bird.

In protected zones, dogs must be leashed and evidently, fires endanger the species from November to March.

In light of this, it's curious to watch intrepid partiers burning fires in restricted zones, and downright entertaining to witness unleashed dogs galloping around, some actually chasing protected birds.

Not to mention spilled alcohol, broken glass and trash left on the sand.

The plover feeds in tide zones and nests in the open.

Just got a large format inkjet plotter for free. It works, but looks like it needs some cleaning.

:(Excavators have left huge ruts in the sand at Ocean Beach. Moderate hike in the dark totally exhausted me.

Almost forgot what I was stressing about. 8)

So, waiting in a designated right-turn lane as hoards of pedestrians file across - very heavy traffic.

Along comes Impatient Moe turning right out of center lane and plows his black pickup into me.

Witnesses hand me their cards, take photos and chew the guy out.

Damage is minor - I'll do it myself and replace some trim.

These guys are flat-out idiots and there is an epidemic of them:)

Whoa! Did I just say that?

    Yeah.

There really does appear to be an increase in reckless drivers. Of course, the majority of these cases involve drivers with no insurance, no driver's license, or both. Which makes sense. Those drivers, feeling like they have nothing to lose, drive like they have nothing to lose.
