Oi. Sounds like the good, bad and ugly (not necessarily in that order).

Man, I don't know how single parents manage it. Not that my kids are difficult, but there are certainly never shortages of things to do.

Have a meeting tomorrow with a prominent somebody, then 'Canadian thanksgiving' with the pastor and his wife (who is Canadian) and kids.

    Deactivated Facebook again.

Having all these newly acquainted nephews and nieces has bombarded me with unsavory posts.

    What a foul-mouthed bunch:(

ProDeo What a day for a day dream

Last night I was walking on the streets and suddenly saw a man wearing my long lost coat. I approached him and said, that's my coat, I want it back. And the man gave the coat to me. Then I noticed something odd, the coat had stripes and other signs of the Salvation Army. And the man asked, are you from the Salvation Army? I said no. Then he asked, then how can the coat be yours? And in confusion I lied flat out feeling guilty that I lied at the same time.

The man must have noticed my insecurity and became nasty with me. On the brink that things would go out of hand someone interfered and tried to mediate. He put us in front of each other and ordered us to look each other in the eyes without saying anything. That was confrontating and after some time the tensions faded away and in the end we were hugging each other.

    Y I K E S.

    Then I woke up.

Another story, a real one, apparently I am in a story-telling mood today.

It's about GUUS the cat. Guus likes to hunt and when he catches something he takes it into the house to show us his trophy expecting us to praise him (that's what I get when he drops it and starts to miaow) then eats it in front of us. Mouses are his favorite and last time he caught a gigantic grasshopper, the sound Guus eating the grasshopper and the grit that came with it was unbearable. Fortunately my lovely wife was already sleeping, the poor thing is afraid of mouses, spiders etc.

And about 2-3 weeks ago the real tribulation came for her. It was evening and Guus came home with a.... bat. As usual he came to us showing his trophy and while the bat was screaming he dropped the bat in front of my wife and then the bat fluttering escaped under the couch.

It was one of those moments my wife was screaming my name several times in total panic eyes wide open full of fear. And it was tempting to ask, "something the matter dear?" but felt the situation wasn't ripe for humor. Instead I acted as a man is supposed to act, save the princess from the monster.

Armed with the feather-brush I waited till the bat felt safe enough to move and when it came from under the couch accompanied with me hearing my name called again peaking nearly at 150 decibel I smashed the bat with the feather-brush, dragged it to the garden and then Guus the cat jumped again on the bat. The next morning no sign of the bat, maybe he survived.

And so I was the hero again, lots of hugs and kisses as it was in the days we fell in love. It felt so good for my manhood, so much different than just loving each other.

That's the problem with Facebook: you add them because they're family, not because you necessarily like them as people.

I may add them because they are family but if I don't like what they are posting they won't stay added.

Isn't square dancing like NASCAR, except slower and only left hand turns?

It may be a little slower than NASCAR, after all we don't have engines. But has a LOT more turns. Try a Teacup Chain for instance.

If you don't square dance I would doubt very seriously if you know what it is. If you saw it would would probably be very impressed. Just about everybody is moving and to the uninitiated it would be hard to tell that there is a pattern. And would probably wonder how they keep from running into each other.

Struggling with closing a part of my moms estate. Dealing with an insurance company and about to tare what little hair I have left out. Waited forever for them to send me paperwork. Finally got it and called them to have them help me figure out how to fill it out. (The form is 26 pages long and I only need to fill out specific parts). Sent it in and then called them to be sure they had it. (My sister is doing the same thing and when they called to check on the paperwork they couldn't find it, even though my sister has a signed receipt proving they got it). I called them. They had the paperwork but I had forgotten to put my birth date in on a certain place. And, no they couldn't take it over the phone. And, no they couldn't send the original form back. They would have to send me a new form to fill out. Got the new form finally yesterday and called today to have them help me fill it out again. Only this time the man I was talking with said that they could take the birth date over the phone. I gave it to him and should be hearing from them in 5 to 7 days (I'll believe that when I see it). :.:

So, attack dog the size of a burrito gets off his leash and comes at me like a shot out of a cannon.
Things looked bad until he had to stop to take a leak and forgot what he was doing.
