Let' see. It started off with our budding psychopath swearing at his classmates during Reading. Later, there was a fight in the hallway. At the same time another student was having rage issues which eventually boiled into a desk throwing incident - this one is actually fairly scary as he gets convulsive. Later a boy with probably a bi-polar condition melted down, then disappeared on me. Another student wandered out of class and went to the office for some reason, so I was wandering around looking for that one. At lunch there was another playground scrap (my wife dealt with that one) and I had to send in a couple that were throwing rocks at each other.

At least my kindergartener's 'graduation' was calm and enjoyable...

Mostly. The fight was between a Grade 3 and a Grade 6. Rage boy, psychopath and bi-polar are all part of the grade 2/3 class. Our son is in that class, but has an amazing ability to shut off distractions and do his work. He's also younger than everyone because he skipped grade 1. There are of course lots of good kids in that class too and its easy to overlook that when you expend so much energy on 2 or 3 kids.

Anyway, behaviour was definitely trending downward toward the end of school. I think everyone is just getting tired of each other. Teachers have mentioned that because of the long daylight hours at this time, kids are often not getting into bed on time, and so they are also physically tired.

Are you going to be re-joining them next year, or this not just summer relief but ultimate, 'no more of them!'

I will be working as classroom assistant next year. As it is right now, I'll probably be in the Grade 2, 3, 4, 5 classes mainly, so yes, I'll be with most of those kids again. Overall it has not been that bad - just this last month or so where behaviours ramped up. There's a lot of really sad and unfortunate situations for many of these kids, generally stemming from family issues or pre-existing mental health issues. Being in a small town, proper resources for this kind of stuff is not readily available. Our school counselor flys in from Vancouver once a month for a couple days.

Or... talk with Washington, kick them out NATO, invade and correct.

This is sooooooo against the New World Order.

Yeah, what are the EU = beast people going to do now?!

Hammering on political stability I suppose. One of the main reasons why the EU was created. Make new trade treaties. The excitement will last for a while and fade away and it will look like as if nothing has happened.

    Hope I am right.

I'd hope so. In the very least end up in a similar situation to a country like Norway

Preforming this weekend. The community choir I am a part of is helping do a concert version of The Music Man for charity this weekend. 2 shows. One Saturday night and a matinee on Sunday afternoon. Busy week. Music Man rehearsal Monday. Music Man act 1 practice Tuesday. Church choir Wednesday. Music Man act 2 practice Thursday. Music Man "dress"/tech rehearsal Friday. And then the shows.

That's cool. The Music Man was the choice for my wife's highschool musical this year. It was done as the full on musical, though somewhat shortened and tweaked where necessary. A Grade 12 student who played Harold Hill and did an absolutely amazing job with it. What pieces are you performing?
