Just got back from being a 'reader' for a student writing a provincial exam. That was a soul-crushing ordeal. You so want to help them, but you are simply not allowed to do anything but read the questions.
Whelp, a full year has passed since my first and only-ever migraine headache - almost six days of debilitating torture that I feared would take my life. There have been a few occasions where it seemed one was coming on but didn't, thank God. That one episode must have been nerve damage from a shoulder injury, as has been theorized. Anyone suffering from migraines has my deepest sympathy and sincere prayer.
I know a few people that suffer from chronic migraine headaches and it sounds like an awful way to have to live.
When I was going through my divorce, I would get migraines practically every other day for almost half a year. One particularly "memorable" experience was when my friends and I had just grabbed seats in the theater when I felt a tinge. Less than 10 minutes later, when the previews started, it was full blown. The first preview came on and it hurt so bad I had tears flowing down my face. Ended up missing the movie (stayed in my friends car). Wasn't a pleasant time of my life.
