Wow! A few minor dietary changes and things are dramatically better. Feels good, but there is a pressing need to proceed very carefully, methodically, keeping all health issues in mind and working toward a less physical routine, while staying busy. Several interesting things - opportunities - have come into view, really showing the Lord's leading and making it all worthwhile. So, while still difficult for the time being, it's all become like a big adventure. Yep! Pretty good God 8)
Been busy the last months preparing a new website, it's about (computer) chess, my former profession. http://rebel13.nl
Why wouldn't it be? You could drop ProDeo's name in certain circles and get respect (yo) for doing so
When you can make a living from it for 22 years then yes that qualifies as a profession. One of the qualifications required is that you at least must be a little bit crazy. That's probably the reason why I like it here
It's the crazy ones who chase their dreams and achieve them. (Well, not in all cases, but you get the drift)
Hard to believe this latest rain will not, in fact, do anything to begin to alleviate the effects of extended drought and record heat. The area is almost at the point of no return and needs several seasons of hard, voluminous drenching (a string of El Nino's) and moderate summers before recovery is considered possible. Break was nice, however; back to work in the am 8) PS: Snow in the mountains :l:;
This, if I recall, is really the key factor, lock up the water in snow so that there is at least some flow throughout the summer
I got paid work today. Wait for it.... Special Education Assistant. At the school my wife works at, they were caught short with a couple SEA's sick so they called me (shudder). So I got to help with rambunctious Grade 2's and 3's and with the Kindergarteners. I actually applied for a new SEA position which apparently I was the only one who put in a resume. So I guess today was a test drive. I'll have an interview for the official job on Friday. It would be a great fit for the family as it's only during school hours.
Congratulations!! I recommend that you buy a ferret to take to your new job. (Kindergarten Cop reference )
Thanks LT. I don't have a tumour yet, at least. Oh and we saw a moose on the way to school this morning. It was just munching on a tree by a house near the school. Those things are darn big.
Just started reading: "My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers After hearing a few people in our Small Group mention they read it, and then remembering one of the members of the Small Group members gave me a copy, I decided to finally check it out this morning. More to follow.
My Dad read it and liked it a lot. Currently I am reading Tony Evans' book on the Names of God (among other things of course). A very interesting study.
