Just finished watching 'Ex_Machina'. Hardly the great movie people are making it out to be.

For an uncharacteristic bit of escapism I watched Scorsese's "Shutter Island" (2006) with Leonardo DiCaprio and was mesmerized. Scared the daylights out of me, in fact - a well written story by Dennis Lehane.

Do some tree doctor'n today 8)

Need to seal and wrap sections that the squirrels had stripped (they sometimes will), pull larger, weakened branches.

With this drought and water restrictions in place, trees fall victim and endanger houses.

Thinking about seeing if I can get a massage later. I need it after the week I've had (and it's not done). Have a small leak (rain drips in). While I was at the shop getting one of the belts on the engine replaced after it had broken I mentioned it to the tech. He looked at it and said it was a seal on the windshield. Suggested I call SafeTouch. Found where they were, the tech there said I needed to go up to their shop. Couldn't find it so I called. They said "we didn't put it in so we won't do any work on it." So I went to the dealership where I bought it. They said "it's not our brand so we don't have the parts." So I went to the local Kia dealership. Told the tech what was happening (even showed him where it was leaking from) and he made an appointment for me to get it fixed. Went up to the appointment and they said "we don't have any glass repair people so we can't help you." They gave me a number to call. Called them. They are all on the road techs so they have to come to me. Going to cost me $45 even if they don't find anything. If they can't fix it I am going to go back to the Kia dealership, get the manager and he is not going to be happy to see me.

Wow. You are getting the runaround, big time. I would be pissed if I were you.

I am a bit pissed. The glass people are supposed to be here around 3 and I'll see what they see. If I don't get some answers/help from them then I'll go back to the Kia dealership and they won't be pleased to see me.

I bet not. :p I would totally unload and tell them the whole story, even if they don't personally want to seem to hear it, so that they know how ridiculously you've been treated. Sometimes it takes a customer being forceful before any results are obtained. Sometimes it's the only way a business will take you seriously, unfortunately. ::)

If I have to go back I'm tempted to ask for the manager immediately and let him have it.

I don't blame you. Being a Christian, of course, you shouldn't yell or raise your voice, but I think you are totally entitled to vent the whole thing to them and they are kind of obligated to listen.

Christian or not I may yell and raise my voice. Sometimes that's the only way to get action.

There's no conflict between being a Christian and raising one's voice -.-

Or of telling a vendor that you will no longer be using their services, and that you will recommend that others follow suit.

Other than the fact that he might be told to leave or the police will be called, you are correct. I just figure it wise not to go that route.
