I watch Patrick McGoohan and I think 'acting as art'; I watch many of the actors today and I think 'acting as entertainment'.

When my son was in his teens we were fanatics, probably watching the whole series about 3 times. I see it's available but not inexpensive...
Now mulling over directorship of established mission/outreach. This would entail a complete metamorphosis and redirection of an almost 100yr ministry. I would likely cut down on real-world work or begin taking on smaller projects - having the opportunity to temporarily hire people out of the mission field is a blessing worth continuing, also. Looking at the prospect of keeping an office other than in-home, and actually found one in a centrally-located area that is very tempting. It's close, in fact, to where I keep tools and equipment But this type of endeavor requires full concentration, so I would need to get back to a no-goofing-around regimen, similar to that previous 35yrs. Freedom and leisure are lost on some folks anyhow. ;~:
Kickin' back and checking the internet while I wait for time to leave for my 1 PM call for our concert this afternoon.
Just got back from visiting with a dear friend I hadn't seen in some months. 'twas great to catch up and reconnect. Gonna wind down and think about wrapping things up for the evening and go nite-nite.
Recovering nicely. Concert yesterday afternoon and those can be tiring. It was worth it, however. Almost a sold out theatre. Went and saw Noises off! at the same complex yesterday evening. Very funny. Exhausted when I went to bed. Slept like a rock.
Unable to sleep, so pulled "Amadeus" up and watched with the headphones. One of my favorite, very brief opening scenes is a younger Salieri conducting an opera with the diva descending the steps behind him. Of course, the Mozart opera scenes are unforgettable. Among my all-time favorite movies.
Classes are done, so starting my last essay (before my dissertation) and re-building my 'personal' online presence, having neglected it for the last couple years...
