Harassing the UK consulate over Twitter, as their phone line auto-disconnects after you pay to connect, and their e-mail form(s) don't return anything. Think if I showed up in New York they'd tell me to bugger off?
Twitter harassment works -- passport has been found *and* mailed. Many thanks to anyone who prayed about that
They told us that the passport hadn't yet been sent out because they mailed my wife's documents before mine arrived. As they requested mine to approve her passport, I'm inclined to think they simply forgot... And how nice of them to pay for postage, too ;}
He just forgot to come back and unlock after splitting the Ferguson discussion off into it's own thread
So anyway, last night, I wake up at midnight (Tuesday), get ready and go to work (start at 1am). I get there, one of my co-workers says, "I thought you were off tonight". So, me, my co-worker and one of the Grocery Mgrs. go in to the breakroom to double check the schedule. Come to find out, I start at 9pm tonight. ;.;. Talk about reading my schedule really, really wrong. ;~:
When I was in Bible College, I took a course on the Pentateuch. Our professor came in late one day . . . 10, 15, 20 minutes . . . I don't remember. Of course, some students comment. He replied that he was early for tomorrow's class.
Planned to go into work for a few hours today. Ended up spending a whole 8 hours. Got a lot done though. No phone calls on Saturdays. Now doing some work at home and then time to get some shut eye. Gotta wake up early for a 30 mile bike ride tomorrow morning. I am REALLY excited about this ride.
How can ANYBODY be excited over a bike ride, especially one of 30 miles. Sounds to much like work to me. I'm gradually getting my new computer set up. Have to load in my bible study software but may have to wait on that for a bit longer since I think I need to talk to tech support because I want to set it up without internet. (Have internet but it's dialup and don't always want to have it on while I'm working with the software). Not sure they have anyone in on Sunday. May try anyway. And I do have to talk to tech support for the protection software since part of the code came off with the sticker that covered it.
For the record, the HOT weather did not make it as enjoyable as I had hoped. I did finish the ride, though it felt more like I survived the ride. Even ran into some mechanical issues. Thankfully I'm always prepared.
Chillin' in my massive Scottish kitchen. Waiting for the bank of Scotland to approve our bank accounts so that we can setup internet... Matriculation starts on the 8th, and classes on the 15th :S
Finally got my Bible Study program up and completely running on my new computer. I have been gradually unlocking books and installing them in the background whenever I was on. Turned on the computer the other day and went into the program thinking there was more initializing to do and to my surprise all the books were in and available. Still have to talk to the Geek Squad. The computer came with some anti virus software but when I pulled the sticker off the key code part of the code came off with the sticker. Also have a music writing program to install and it looks like I may need to get a new printer.
