Speaking of The Onion, there's a restaurant here in Spokane called The Onion. They have the best mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce. Mmmm. Mozzarella sticks...
Poor Hannity. His nose is so far up Trumps rear end, we can see his face everytime Trump opens his mouth.
That may be true, but should Clinton get elected, and should Congress be Democrat majority...prepare to be financially raped by taxes. After all, Clinton needs a means to finance her socialism, er, I mean her "social programs." It's very kind of you to "volunteer" your money for "the cause," by the way.
I saw a meme on Facebook stating that those who are voting for Clinton think that she will bring about (positive) change are idiots. I completely agree. BUT, IMMHO, those who are voting for Trump that are thinking he'll bring about (positive) change, well, guess what, that same train is waiting for you. The fact is that no matter who "wins" in November, we all lose. But hey, America, this is what you wanted. A contest between a career liar trying to become a family dynasty and an orange, comb-over idiot, with the maturity of a 4 year old who wouldn't know fact if it hit him square between the eyes. On one hand, I almost want Agent Orange to win.......mainly because, whenever he blows a gasket and has a hissy fit when someone disagrees with him or calls him out on something stupid he says (which is everytime he opens his mouth), I'll look at all the Trumphumpers and point at them laughing, saying "that's YOUR guy". But at the same time, do we need/want the Twitter king in a job position that requires a working brain.........
I don't have a problem with people disliking Trump. I'm voting for him and I don't think he walks on water. What I have a problem with is people LYING about him because they don't like him. The whole "he's racist" garbage people fling around is annoying. He didn't say anything racist about Mexicans. He said we need a better border to reduce illegal immigration. I agree. We don't need to be handing out a bunch of benefits to people who aren't even citizens while we can't even take care of our vets who have sacrificed in so many ways to protect our country. Protecting our borders isn't racist. It's what every sovereign country does. If people think that's "racist," then they are simply ignorant.
What would trouble me more with a Trump win would be validation of the alt-right nut jobs, headed by those classy folks at Breitbart.
The thing is that IF The Orange doesn't win (God forbid if he did win), it's possible we may not see another republican president for a long time, perhaps never. Now, that may be a bit of hyperbole, but when you consider that the uber-right wing, tea party, alt-right, whatever dingbat nutjobs who support Trump are pulling further right while the moderates on the right are moving more to the middle and trying keep some form of sanity, there's gonna be a split somewhere. That may not happen, but the republican party is going to have to make some changes if they want to win the White House in the future. I'm NOT saying that everybody who supports and is voting for Trump are nutjobs. Many vote strictly party line no matter the candidate, some vote against the other candidate (in this case Hillary), and for others, it's the "lesser of 2 evils". And of course, there are other reasons. So before anyone tries to make a stupid argument that I'm lumping all Trump supporters together, drop it!! @ Aaron365, I believe in stronger boarder security also, but anyone who thinks Trump is gonna get a wall built is delusional at best. It ain't gonna happen no matter who's president. All I can say is that it's a hold your nose election peeps.
Oh, I didn't say a wall will actually get built if Trump becomes President. It may or may not. That's a whole other topic. I'm saying the fact he wants it built is not "racist." Also, it's humorous because Hillary's supporters are apparently ignorant of the fact that she also, at one time, said we need a wall. I watched a video of her stating that. It was a compilation video showing her making several statements and then a video of her at a different point in time where she states the exact opposite positions.
Very true about Hillary and the wall. What's quite interesting about this election cycle is that, while in most cycles, a lot of people could over look the double speak of the candidates, there's so much of it between Trump and Clinton (quite recent ones too), you would think many people would step back a bit and think about what was said. This year, the hard core supporters of either side just seem to brush it off with no regard. I realize that candidates positions "evolve" over time (and cycles), but with these two, you almost have to create a new word. ;~:
Well, come November I guess we'll find out which direction this country will be headed. Neither candidate puts my mind at ease. :-\ I'm voting for Trump, but only because I can't stand Clinton. I'm definitely not a hardcore Trump supporter. I'm just more frightened of how bad this country will get under Clinton's vision of America than I am of how much Trump shoots off his mouth or "lacks tact."
As I've said elsewhere I don't like Trump and can't stand Clinton. Thinking of doing a write in for Thelma Hopkins. At least she can ACT presidential.
Witness the continued implosion of the Republican party as we know it. Doubtless more to come and likely worse. Hillary by something akin to default
The left is quickly fragmenting too. Older classical liberals are having a war waged against them by younger regressive liberals.
Young liberals, in my opinion, were always the "hippie, commune living" sorts. Fighting the establishment. I think they're discovering, albeit slowly, that the Democratic Party IS the establishment.
One thing I find quite curious is the level of angst Gary Johnson's Aleppo moment has caused. Sure, he dropped the ball and dropped it badly with that one but frankly anyone seriously considering voting for either Donald or Hillary must know that both have such major questions around them that to write off a third party over one gaffe is absurd. To not vote for him because of disapproval of his policies is one thing but anyone who writes him off for good just because of his Aleppo moment would logically have to write off just about every other politician in the process. I struggle to think of a politician who hasn't committed at least one gaffe in their career.
