To me Kavanaugh's stand seems most sensible. This is not a Constitutional matter, it’s a question of ambiguity in the text of a statute, plus a change in public attitude since the statute was written. Legislature is aware and both the Senate and the House have undertaken efforts to redefine the text of Title VII to include sexual orientation among other things. Kavanaugh argues the Court should remain silent until and unless the Legislature chooses to speak; that this is, first and foremost, a matter of politics and statute, and it is not the Court’s place to comment.

Yep.... the people we're most prone to consider the undesirables are the ones who Jesus seemed to seek out. Maybe he was trying to tell us something...

No one should be neither undesirable nor deplorable just on the basis of whom he prefers to have sex with. (But, there should be limits here too. Pedophiles or Zoophiles are deplorable.) But, this discrimination 'agenda' is going crazy I guess. I am sometimes afraid being a regular/main stream would be a unbearable disadvantage in coming times.

Coming to Pedophiles, They are already demanding to be added LGBTQ. Straight from predator to victims.

Paedophiles are hated by everyone, even the alphabet people. They'll add an 'S' to the acronym before pedos gain entry.

Pedos are claiming that just like LGBTQ their sexual orientation is work of nature and no fault of theirs. And the way things are going. God knows their argument may find takers.

That would require a big change in consent laws. Not sure how they could argue it.

How would the cow acknowledge consent?

That argument will never hold water. I don't think anyone believes paedophiles choose their sexual orientation, but so what? They're still responsible for it; the vast majority go on to be despicably evil people, and if 'LGBTwhatever' is meant to be a celebration of those identities, then, no one is going to be celebrating paedophilic relationships anytime soon - not even Socrates.

I wish I could say it would never happen.

It doesn't seem like it was all that long ago that gay people were considered to be some kind of deviants and now many of them march proudly in the streets and demand even more acceptance than they already have. Before that unmarried women who were pregnant were considered mentally unstable and now nobody bats an eyelid.

I really hope that those whose desires can never be consensually reciprocated (which is obviously a crucial issue that differentiates them from homosexuals and unmarried pregnant women) don't achieve the same acceptance but I wouldn't hold out too much hope. Much of society is apparently OK with burning down a business owned by a black couple as a way to protest the death of a black guy, not to mention all sorts of other double standards around the issue of exactly when black lives matter.

It wasn't in Title 7 by intent. Judges shouldn't amend laws. If it was that important congress could have added it at any time.
