And unlike other sites that have recently crashed, this one's fonts are still fine. (It was a PHP version issue.)
I kept getting lost on the way to the forum. Fenris thought it was because he's ..... well .... from New York.
Here is a copy of an email presumably from BF to myself today. Highly unlikely this is produced and sent by anyone from BF, and typifies their vulnerability. How are addresses accessed? Dear IMINXTC We here at bibleforums.org are so proud of our recent work, and we’d like to thank you for being a part of our community. However, our mission to maintain a reliable website is a 24/7 undertaking! We need your help to continue our work. As a nonprofit organization, though, we completely rely on community support. It's really cheap right now but no longer. Thank you for being a part of our community. Gratefully yours! Notice the completely bogus address link and the broken English in the third to last line.
Yeah, somebody posted this in the Tech forum there the other day asking about it. What I simply don't get is why the admin or mods don't make any comments about problems. I mean, after the outage, a simple post saying what happened would at least show some respect to the membership. Even in the porn-bot days, nobody would just start a thread and say, "Hey, we know there is a problem, we are working on it. Bear with us."
I got that as well, except it went immediately to spam. Makes you wonder if someone had access they shouldn't have gotten.
I checked my spam folder for my share of the love but, alas, I appear to have been forsaken. On a more positive note I found numerous other invitations to love of a less repeatable kind, so it's not all bad.
Well, someone is able to access most or all of the profile emails at BF. Perhaps not the worst thing but, surely, the site is wide open, and a great deal of malware gets installed through emails.
OK, MountainMan. You're always posting great music. I'm not a huge Broadway fan, but occasionally I'll hear something I like. Had not heard of this musical until yesterday when I ran across it randomly on siriusXM while driving home. Don't know about the whole musical, but this song is incredible, and Patrick Page is phenomenal in this role. "Why we build the wall" from Hadestown.
Music as a didactic. Socratic, and brilliant. The question/answer, repetition and building layer upon layer is quite tremendous as a teaching tool.
I got the email from bf as well. Was going to post it here but that was when I found this forum down.
Sometimes tempted to go back to eating like a suicidal fool. A double whopper and iced coffee would... oh boy, be so good!
Coming right after your post about the double whopper I wondered if those things were on the menu or something
