My wife is having a laser iridotomy tomorrow to prophylactically treat possible acute angle closure. Should take less than 30 seconds once they get started. In layman's terms, they are shooting a hole in my wife's eye with a laser to prevent the possibility of one type of glaucoma. Yeah. Laser. Hole. Eye. on purpose. For the not squeamish... I really like it when he says "gush"
Wow. I watched it. I consider myself squeamish. I watched it no problem. But I’m not having it done to me. So.....
My sister is planning to have the same procedure done as well. She may even have already had it done.
Hope it went well. I figure they'd have to spot weld my skin to the table, and *THEN* give me an IV full of rhino tranquilizer, and they'd *STILL* risk my absolute horror becoming manifest like some kind of Lovecraftian alien/spirit/color and drive everyone mad.
Thanks to all. Now if our appointment on Thursday at May CLinic would just go as well for diagnosis of her, um, chronic GI issues.
