They went so long without winning. It was great to see them win in 2003, White Sox in 2005, Cubs in 2016. Long droughts of victory. But now 2003, 2007, 2013, 2018. It’s getting old and boring. They’re turning into the new version of the Yankees.
Good Lord man. The Yankees are a special breed of their own. Besides the Jets and Lakers, I don't think I could hate any other team more than the Yankees.
Unless the A's are in contention, I rarely pay attention to baseball. It's pretty cool to see the Red Sox winning a few WS since the turn of the century. All I know is they won this year, and the Dodgers lost for the second year in a row. In football, I's still a diehard Raiders fan, as dreadful as that may be at the moment. I hate the Patriots, Broncos, and Cowboys. Basketball, I never really had a favorite team. I loved watching George "Ice Man" Gervin, so I followed the Spurs for a while. I loved Jordan, so obviously I followed the Bulls (then the Wizards after, which everyone knew wasn't going to go anywhere, but still.............). For some reason, I enjoyed watching Shaq, so I followed his career with the Magic, and Lakers, then lost interest after his Miami Heat run. Now I kinda follow LeBron James. So it was Cavs, Heat, Cavs again, and now the Lakers, although I haven't watched any NBA yet this season.
