"The phenomenon of unbelief - spiritual rebirth vs theological illusions." Work in progress. Will get back.
Time is also a creation of God, just as space is. So of course God is timeless, He cannot be bound by His own creation.
Interesting. Among life's most significant developments, outside of salvation, and boy, there were many, was my departing from Catholicism (taking a few with me), which initiated a good half-century in active pursuit of what are generally assumed to be Bible-centered ideals associated with what popularly passes as evangelicalism or the evangelicals. But my recent departure from that association is, in fact, even more consequential, and I dare to think, with such a relatively small allotment of time left, highly critical. The dreadful conviction that salvation has lost it's primary focus in this realm, being largely replaced with political/philosophical idealism, authoritarianism and political power (like Rome?), will be my motivation for whatever directions lie ahead. Conviction: better than caffeine, no doubt.
Hooray! Got some full fir pulp logs for nighttime. Round logs burn longer. Cut a load yesterday just before snow storm. Will likely get many loads while available.
Didn't Jesus say something about that - "by this shall all men know you are my disciples, if you vote in lockstep with them"? Oh, wait, maybe that's not what he said. I've thought for a while that Christians who expect the Bible to be heavily enshrined in the law should be very careful what they wish for, as enshrining our holy book in the law today weakens any case we might make against some other faith's holy book being enshrined into the law tomorrow. I'm not sure I want to create an army of whitewashed tombs today while hoping that "convert or die" doesn't become the law tomorrow.
I never imagined - never had a clue, what a tremendous benefit intermittent fasting is. For most people wrestling with the rapid onset of diabetes 2, fasting will break not only high blood glucose levels, but will also break it's persistence, and for many, it can reverse the disease entirely, without the need for medications. That is just the beginning of benefits.
It's interesting that, while fasting forces the body into a ketonic state, Jesus listed fasting as one requirement, along with prayer, for casting out a demon from a boy suffering from epileptic type seizures. Therapeutic ketosis has been effectively used for quite some time in the treatment of epilepsy. Remarkable, as ketosis is very likely the predominant natural state for nutrition, while carbs, with resulting glucose, should only play a secondary role. Jesus ate fish and some bread and could handle a 40 day and night fast, and fasted often.
Interesting observation: A common cosmological prediction states that, given the expansion of the universe and acceleration, if all of the available light from stars had had time to reach the earth, the night sky would be as bright as the the day. The expected process of expansion, however, points to a bleak, desolate and relatively empty expanse where darkness reigns.
Purely health goals, currently: Restricted time. 4 hours to eat, 20 hr fast, daily. Full, therapeutic ketone levels Once glucose numbers are stable I might change the schedule, but I doubt it. It breaks blood numbers.
Stubborn insulin resistance, blood glucose numbers - I opted for a 3 day weekend water fast. Already the levels are coming down and, maintaining keto, I don't even notice this is a fast.
Having followed recent threads on several forums and having gleaned ongoing news developments, I am alarmed at the number of vocal, politicized evangelicals who have signed on with QAnon. I have withdrawn from participation in any political discussions because they invariably get turned into irrepressible slug-bouts and sound-stages for the conspiracy movement. Needless to say, this is turning out to be a very serious development not only for the professing church, but for a highly significant bloc of politically active believers and voters., Yet another cult in the making, and increasingly influential. "QAnon is a disproven and discredited far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking ring and plotting against US president Donald Trump, who is fighting the cabal." Wiki Having always considered or interpreted 2Thess 2:11 as a timeless principle, I fear the blatant ignoring or even throwing off of biblical principles for discernment and the establishing of truth among professing believers. It's shocking. “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” Is the stage being set for future, end-time events, where the actions and participation of so-called believers in world- changing movements is being clearly denoted or foreseen?
Same thing happened with the false/repressed “deliverance”ministries of the early 80s that saw a satanist and a demon behind every fart. Every kid that got in trouble for being a little ##*%*#$#*#% was coached to “remember “ sexual abuse and demonic possession. sadly, many evangelicals will believe anything instead of looking in the mirror.
Shortly after getting married, we were at a church that had a travelling 'evangelist' (aka 'apostle'). There was a sick woman who, he decided, was actually possessed. I was reasonably certain this woman wasn't, so I stuck around while all the hullabaloo happened (to absolutely no benefit for this woman). I must have been super distracting because this itinerant whatever kept letting me know that I could leave. That was the first and only time that nonsense happened, while we were there.
