I did just cite scripture, to which you have not responded. My stance against Christianity is far more nuanced than you acknowledge. On the one hand, it is idolatry for a Jew to believe in any but god. For a gentile though, who does not fall under the covenant at Sinai, it may indeed be "good enough". By calling my points "nonsensical" without addressing them, you can hardly claim to have won any argument at all. I make no claims of the sort. I have no idea what God plans, nor what He intends to do. Observant Jews would indeed say that salvation in the Christian sense is unnecessary. Everyone is not destined to hell and can only be saved by a human/god sacrifice. Nothing in my bible leads to any such conclusion. I'm not saying that punishment lies ahead for anyone. People are not judged according to any absolute scale, but rather according what they know from their own life experience. Having said that, yes, I believe that Christianity is indeed "good enough" for gentiles. That doesn't mean that their mere faith in Jesus is going to "save" them from anything, but rather following the ethical and moral commands in the bible- which you now know. The bible tells us why. Because God loved the patriarchs and so chose their descendants for a special mission. Which isn't exclusive- we do accept converts. To be a light unto the nations. To be a moral pilot project for the world. To lead by example and show the world what living a Godly life can accomplish. This is your religion. It comes from your bible, not mine. "Hope" for what? Again, the whole concept of "salvation" from damnation is a Christian concept. I don't see it at all. Sorry.
