Maybe a sinkhole will open up and devour his house.

Sounds like a story from Maine. A visitor asked a farmer if he had lived there all his life. The farmer replied "Not yet." When asked if he was born there the farmer replied "No, it was down the road a piece."

As far as I can see Scripture doesn't explicitly prohibit coveting thy neighbor's cave. So you're OK there at least pi-in-face

There are plans to move my wife back home even though she has not mastered a few important functions. They are going to train me to take care of a couple things like the pic line and catheter (if needed). I don't think its a case of them trying to just get her out of the hospital, but rather get her in a place where she may be able to relax and heal better. It might be as soon as Thursday. We've already got most of the equipment and mobility aids in the house thanks to our friend who is an OT. The hospital may even do some house calls.

Will be keeping this in mind and in prayer.
(My friend in Oregon, who suffered similarly, completely healed without notice).

I've got about half of my floor sanded now. it's slow going - around the edges the floor was stained and coated with something and in the middle there's no coating but 80+ years of sunshine has turned the wood dry and gray. The sander needs to remove enough from the surface to let the golden brown of the underlying wood show through, and take out the slightly uneven levels in the different boards. Some of it is essentially very small steps, other parts are where the boards are slightly cupped or don't quite align.

It really is quite remarkable seeing the dull gray surface slowly stripped away to reveal a beautiful golden brown underneath. Once it's all done I plan to lacquer the entire floor. I had originally planned to stain it but having seen the natural color with the surface sanded away I think I'm going to keep it as-is.

We get our stay-at-home lifted in a week or so - like it makes a lick of difference to these folks.

Allegedly our knucklehead governor has a plan to reopen our state. Areas can be have their red stay-home order lifted when they have less than (I think) 500 cases per 100,000 residents for 14 days. Our county has 20 cases total, but for reasons left unexplained isn't in the first wave of areas where Der Fuhrer is gracious enough to let people earn a living again.

There is no plan to determine how an area moves from amber status to green status. Neither is there a plan to encourage people to start new businesses, knowing Der Fuhrer might shut them down at a couple of hours' notice leaving the owners unable to meet their obligations.

A petition to impeach Der Fuhrer gathered 5000+ signatures in the last 24 hours and the rate appears to be accelerating.

My new approach of a slower belt speed and moving the sander slowly seems to be working well. I just trashed another sanding belt but it lasted many hours before ending up smooth enough to be of little use, rather than lasting 10 minutes before getting gummed up with gunk.

The very corners are going to be tricky, I'll need to sand those sections by hand. But it's coming along really well now. At this rate I might actually be able to finish work on a room soon. Then I just need to figure out what to work on next.

    That's some property. Everyone's envy, Owner's Pride!

But, It will also be difficult/costly to maintain too. Sometimes things are easy to acquire, not so easy to maintain. I have heard a saying about gifting your enemy an Elephant to bankrupt him!
