Two layers, guys. Inside layer is shiny side in, to keep your thoughts from escaping to the BrainWaveReaders(tm) Outside layer shiny side out, to keep Them(tm) from forcing thoughts into your head with their BrainWaveTransmorgrifiers(tm) It's just that simple.
For those who are particular paranoid concerned you can add a triple layer to keep the Reptilian Lizards out of your head. Hey, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
That was my basement but I figured I needed a larger reserve for when the Reptilian Lizards get closer.
Some people hoarded all the toilet paper. I hate feeling left out so figured I'd make do with tinfoil. I can always use the surplus to make more hats and it never goes bad.
You can use silver foil (even if it contains 0% actual silver) whatever the precise metallurgical composition. Sometimes you need more. It pays to have extra. See previous posts
You can wash TP if you really want to. The big difference with tinfoil is that using it again is more likely to be successful....
The walls in the room I'm rebuilding are now painted. Chances are I'm going to have to wait until Monday to get wood to make baseboards, I'll need to see what I have and what I can reuse, and buy enough to make up the shortfall. Then it's back to sanding the floor.... yay me....
Today's excitement involves installing a ceiling fan, shifting some stuff out of the room I'm working on (much if it trash, some of it older furniture that needs to be disassembled first), and then I can sand the floor unimpeded. Yay.
I had an apocalyptically unproductive day despite my best intentions. I didn't fit the ceiling fan, I didn't sand the floor and I didn't touch up the patch the roller skipped over when painting. But I did go to my favorite brewpub and get some of their new beer, so the day wasn't a total waste.
I think I did better then. Beautiful spring day today, only one little patch of snow left and I managed to break that up and put it out in the sun. Most of the garden is in order (nothing is really growing yet anyway). Vacuumed and cleaned some dirty parts of the house. Kids put the trampoline together with minimal involvement of myself.
