Yeah. Just started making this year. I'm 6 or 7 batches in. All cold process. Got my first lye burn a few weeks back. Wonderful lesson.
Lucky enough to not have had one of those. My counter tho ... I always wear goggles, a long-sleeve shirt, and gloves. Cold process is so nice. I always love the way it turns out. Gonna start making soap again after I move in a couple months. My creativity has taken a nosedive with all the personal drama ... getting there though. Soooooonnnnnn.
Sorry about hte personal drama I had to stop because I have a customer gone 150 days over on an invoice, so I cut out everything non-essential. This month I should be restocking lye and some fixed oils and off I go to the races again.
It's ok, new beginnings happening soon. With lots of freedom, independence, and creativity again. Gonna take all my supplies with me and make all.the.things.
