That helps but you can't beat a generous helping of toxic theology to be assured a seat at the apostles table. No point having an expensive car if your theology doesn't instantly label you as a kook.
That is so different than the apostles of the first century. They only shared one car as they drove in one accord.
But Peter said, I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk! becomes..... Gold and silver I have which I can not give you, but what I can give you, in the name of Jesus....
I can’t reme what pastor I heard this from or if the account is true (I think it was Jon Courson) about two Catholic leaders at the Vatican one day and one said “Well we can’t say ‘silver and gold I do not have.’” The other retorted “Neither can we say ‘rise up and walk’ anymore either.”
Even that would be preferable to the next generation, which is more "silver and gold I have plenty more than you, and if you want something then send me some money in the name of Jesus and if you show enough faith in the size of your gift maybe you'll get something back".
