    D***ed lawyers.

    Sorry, that's redundant.

Of course life would be so much easier if the guilty party would just put their hand up and admit to it.

For some reason criminals don't want to go to jail so they come up with all sorts of stories to look like they didn't do it, that might involve framing someone else.

And then there are the lawyers. Don't get me started on the lawyers

The difference between a lawyer and a carp?
One's a scum sucking bottom dweller.
    The other is a fish.

Of course God is called “wonderful lawyer” in Isaiah 9:6. Might be an oxymoron.

There has never been a single documented instance of a shark biting a lawyer. Something about professional courtesy....

Having lawyers in the family, I just can't relate to those sentiments. And I know you're all joking. Well, except Aaron.

What do you call 1000 lawyers buried up to their necks in sand?

What do you call a bus full of lawyers going over a cliff with one seat empty?

Not what I said. Don’t twist stuff, thanks. I said that because what I was getting at is that a person is guilty of having committed a crime, if they actually did commit one, whether a court says they did or not. In other words, if I rob a bank, get away with it, never get charged with it, never get tried for it, never get convicted for it, never serve prison time for it...it doesn’t mean I’m not guilty of anything. I still robbed the bank. That’s the point I’m getting at.

You're free to have a vigorous discussion, but personal comments won't be tolerated. Keep a cool head.

Where in particular do you believe I didn’t have a “cool head” and that I was making my comment “personal?”

Aaron, I’ll message you with it so it’s not all public.

    Dani You're probably fine.

Awesome, when will you be finished with your law/political science degree/doctorate, and what high-level government position will you be running for, to affect those changes towards perfection?

Law and political science doctorates are nowhere near good enough if you need to be able to search someone's heart and figure out what they did and what their motives were. If only there were a degree course in being God or something.

Ah. That would require ME to be perfect. I never have claimed to be perfect, and I dare you to find a post where I HAVE made that claim. Just because I have to rationally concede that nobody’s perfect, including myself, that doesn’t then obligate me to be “ok” with the fact there’s no perfect court system, judge, attorney, etc. If anything, that knowledge merely frustrates me more, it doesn’t relieve me. Let’s put it this way. You get accused of a crime that you DIDN’T commit. You go through a trial and, despite the fact you are, indeed, innocent, you get convicted. You then find out you will be spending a substantial amount of time in prison. Again, for a crime you DIDN’T actually commit. If I told you, “Hey, sorry to hear about your situation, but, remember, there’s no such thing as ‘perfect justice’ in this world. Just buck up,” am I to believe that you would actually view that as some reassuring consolation for you and that you WOULDN’T want to punch me in the mouth for spouting off such crass tripe?

Ahh, but there IS a perfect system.
    It's called faith and prayer.
