    Been exploring what's new there.
The only thing that jumped out at me was ProjectPeter missing.
He was the instigator of the "Exodus"
What the heck, and when, did that happen?

It [IMO] starts here and things are going down quite quickly.

No, I know where it started. When we started standing up to the "powers that be".
They all felt they were above being criticized.dissenters needed to be removed.
No, my question was one about ProjectPeter. What happened to him and when?

You troublemaker, no wonder they said you made too many.

On a more serious note, if you made a total of zero reports but were banned for making too many it does rather suggest there's still an unwillingness to face truth within leadership there. It reminds me of when Kathy gave me the talk about "the time is right" for me to return to staff (in the green suit, they wouldn't give me the red suit back) and I said there was no point me returning to staff until whatever issues led to me leaving staff were addressed. The best I got was that they could be brushed under the carpet. They didn't like it much when I quoted the bit from Jeremiah about saying "peace, peace" when there is no peace.

I don't know if my account was banned. I think it was banned - I visited the site a while back without attempting to log in and noticed my custom title was gone and my name had gone from italics to regular text so I suspect it was banned.

I think the stellar lack of judgment shown by the senior leadership needs to be addressed. For so many former staff to be banned shows an apocalpytic failure of judgment, either by appointing so many bad people to leadership roles or by inappropriately banning so many who had given so much to the site. In fairness I think the members of leadership responsible are long gone but still think the issue should be addressed.

Maybe there was nobody left to kick out so he kicked himself out, and then people starting coming back?

I'm not sure if being banned via the ModCP would change that. If you get banned with a 20-point infraction you show up as "guest" but I think you can be banned from behind the scenes and it's not obvious from the profile.

Certainly when I left I had a custom user title and from what I could tell (you can't view profiles as an unregistered visitor) that had changed back to the generic title. August will make 5 years since I left. Maybe I'll try and log in to see if my account is still active. I think it was August 2013 I signed out for the last time.

I just cut up a piece of scrap wood to see how well corners etc align if I make picture frames with what I currently have. I thought the router bit I bought is too small but having used it I think it's just the right size. I cut a piece of 5/8" board just to see how it would all look. Normally I'd use 3/4" or 13/16" and the added thickness would give me just what I need for a sheet of acrylic, then a print and a piece of backing board, and some artist's tape to hold it all in place.

It's good to know my miter saw cuts very accurate 45 degree miters. A friend of mine who does far more woodworking than I will probably ever do said that larger miter saws tend to be less accurate but as far as I can see mine is bang on the mark. That said it is a little hairy trying to figure out how to hold a small workpiece in place with the blade at an aggressive angle, given I want to cut one end of the wood away from the other end while ideally not detaching my hands from my wrists in the process. I started work on a miter-cutting sled for my table saw, so I may resurrect that project to see how accurate that would be.

At this rate I might be making frames faster than I expected!

Just ended up at the Christian Post and saw this headline...
"Prosperity Preacher Jesse Duplantis Seeks Donations for $54M Private Jet, Says God Wants Him to Have It"
This stuff just makes me sick.

What I also find sickening is knowing he has enough gullible followers he's dragging down with him and he'll probably get the cash. (Nontaxable of course. ((And a charitable write off for the donors))
    So WE pay for it!

How small is his god that he can't even provide Jesse with the plane.
I "used" to like listening to Jesse. Years ago.

Liquid Tension No, it's NOT a fish!!!

Never quite figured out why I was coffee'd. All I know is I went to log in one day and a message come up basically stating my account was banned.........or something to that extent. Apparently being cordial to the rest of the Banned Camp crew was too much for them to handle. Never really looked back, although I did lurk on a couple of occasions, which led me to wanting to shower immediately after. If I were able to get my account reinstated, I'm not sure I'd necessarily go back. There were some cool people there however.

The Rookie finally responded in C2M post. A simple greeting of welcome back.

    This was my reply.

    Thanks, good hearing from you.
I realize there's more to this banning issue than meets the eye. There were (and remain still) a group of us that were systematically banned from the forum. We affectionately call ourselves the "Banned Camp" and we are still very much together on a much smaller Christian message board.
I believe each of us would like to be reinstated, but, speaking for myself and I'm sure the others would agree, I need to be assured that this has been resolved and won't rear its head and bite me on the backside down the road.
There were no infractions from ANY of us that violated forum rules. I was informed bu Shepardsword the reason for my ban was "too many reports". First, that makes no sense when you consider that the number of reports I had made add up to -0-
And not two admin voted for the ban and other members weren't invited to vote.

I think I, we, deserve some answers o this "event".

Can and will you give me an honest answer as to what happened. Among other reasons, I'd like Virginias name cleared.

    We'll see what happens next.

Of all the admin, the Rookie would be the one I'd trust the most, but even with that, I'm not expecting anything close to disclosure.
