    Have been reading the locked threads on colorful language. Thought I'd give people a helpful alternative.
    Most everyone has and uses, at times, Google.
    I use it frequently to find alternate words by simply typing the word and synonym.
    I'll use a mild word as an example- Hate.
    Simply google,
    Hate synonym. Here's what you'll find,

    hate
    hāt/
    verb
    past tense: hated; past participle: hated
    1. feel intense or passionate dislike for (someone).
      synonyms: loathe, detest, despise, dislike, abhor, execrate;
      be repelled by, be unable to bear/stand, find intolerable, recoil from, shrink from;
      formalabominate
      "they hate each other"
      • have a strong aversion to (something).
      • used politely to express one's regret or embarrassment at doing something.
        synonyms: be sorry, be reluctant, be loath, be unwilling, be disinclined;
        regret, dislike
        "I hate to bother you"

        (I especially like "execrate"

        You'll soon find it's a creative way of eliminating "potty mouth"
