Game of Thorns or Game of Thrones? I had 50 pages left in book 4 before I just tossed it in the trash on my way off the train. Regret ever picking up that masochistic rag. The dirty little secret is that in all of those pages, there really isn't a story. There's no arch that brings everything together for a conclusion, its just an exercise of punishing the reader for discerning a protagonist, then spending a whole book building up another protagonist to slay. Its pain porn. It is the male equivalent of The Real Housewives of <Insert City>

Some time ago I watched the Netflix documentary: Patterns of Evidence. It's about the Exodus. Good stuff.
It must be the check from the DOJ that they're holding back from Chicago due to Chicago's stance on being a Sanctuary city. It's the right amount. https://www.google.com/amp/www.foxn...icagos-sanctuary-city-lawsuit-threat.amp.html
So I have my finger on several books and I need to not add more. Currently reading: 1) Every Thought Captive by Richard Pratt 2) Covenantal Apologetics by K. Scott Oliphint 3) Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin (I'm reading two versions: 1541 & 1559) 4) Making Sense of God by Tim Keller 5) The Story Of Reality by Greg Koukl
I've caught some glimpses of Game of Thrones, and I think it's just too violent. I have read a lot of the wiki, however, just to follow the character stories because I do think he created an interesting enough world with lots of characters that he pulled from actual history (which is full of pain, godawful acts of violence and unspeakable terror for sure). Anyway, I just started reading "All Is Grace" by Brennan Manning and so far I really love it.
