Just wondering why robots are hanging out here. Nothing personal to robots...but until they respond with some kind of personality or input --- I will remain suspect.
As Arthur Weasley says, "never trust something that talks to you if can't see where it keeps its brain."
Speaking of robots, am I the only person that finds the idea of humans creating robots with artificial intelligence just a tad bit creepy?
If you Google the legal rights of robots, the results are kind of astounding...and ridiculous. We shouldn't be creating new monsters until we can stop being monsters ourselves, but that just isn't in our nature.
Deluded fools have been trying to argue that animals have "rights" so it's not a stretch that they would champion "robots" or even toasters. Why should we Christians be surprised when the deluded world continues to act as it always has?
Did you see that "Voyager" episode where holograms end up getting rights? That's probably not that far into the future when they get more advanced.
Personally, I think man's desire to create robots, especially ones with artificial intelligence, stems from a desire to "play God." Whether they wish to acknowledge such or not.
We're created in God's image, so it's natural to 'play God' because we have the same set of desires (analogically speaking).
