Never heard of Lumina. I use an app called Youversion, and have for years. It has the NET with built-in commentaries, along with many other translations, in English and many other languages. Including German.
I use the YouVersion app as well on my phone. It's fantastic. Been using it lately for reading plans as well. And devotionals.
Just wanted to give you this link Aaron. This is the ministry that put together the NIV. http://www.biblica.com/bible/niv-bible/
In honor of this thread, I just purchased a new Bible last week. Well, I had a gift card from Amazon, so after several weeks of not really deciding on anything, I purchased a Large, not GIANT, print NIV with the 2011 revision. It's GREAT. It is now my official carry along Bible. And for studying I have a mini library of Bibles I use of several versions. KJV, NIV, NASB, ESV, HCSB and NLT. Although I have a few more, these are my Go-To for studying.
During Sunday School I always have 3 different versions out. There is the version that is printed in the student book (not sure what version it is), my NIV, which is a study bible with notes of various kinds, and a KJV.
