Got to hear Billy preach once. His organist of many years, Don Hustad, was one of my professors, mentors, and dear friends. He used to tell me the most amazing stories about Billy praying for humility and lost people
I still believe it is the message and not the messenger that is to be given glory. God receives glory when the Gospel is preached. He gave gifts to men. Billy Graham was a vessel of His Glory. He wasn't perfect and surely suffered under his calling as all are called to do.
Greatly admired his oratory skills and his straight-arrow message. He tremendously influenced my youth.
