    By Partial Preterism do you mean that just about everything prophesied in Revelation and by Jesus in Matthew 24 has already happened? With the exception of the return of Jesus?
    I honestly don't know the full details of End Times positions.

    I'm getting old. Some of my first memories is being surrounded by my church congregation who, with much somber nodding of heads, declared that we were in the final final days. After all, *everyone* knew that any day now the Russians and Americans were going to throw down, and the nuclear holocaust would happen. Since then I've seen so many failed eschatological analyses I had to take a real solid look at the rest of the book.

    My personal take on end times discussions, and why I don't get involved in them is that so many people that get involved in them (fortunately not here) get so up tight and argumentative about what various passages "must mean." It makes me want to grab them and shake them and say "THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SALVATION, LIGHTEN UP."

    I remember the Russian and America will begin WW3 days. There was something about it on TV one day and it really spooked my sister. She was in tears for hours. Needless to say, thankfully, nothing came of it.

    Revelation has four schools of interpretation:

    1. Futurist
    2. Historical
    3. Idealist / spiritual
    4. Preterist
    Preterist means past. So a preterist thinks it has happened. Partial preterist believe chapters 20-22 are still to come.

    Makes sense. No-one is supposed to know when the end times are, all we can do now is live in the "NOW" and enjoy our lives while we can :)
